Is it really joyful as an adult?

In a recent car chat Laura posed a question prompted by a Substack she had read. The writer was reflecting on how joyful summers were as a child. (No, this wasn’t Allison’s “Summertime Not Sadness” deep dive we posted a few weeks back, but another Substack Laura follows). This writer was exploring how she could still try and create joy, even though she was an adult with adult responsibilities. The conversation posed some interesting questions and discussion.
