Q: What's been on your heart and mind recently?

A: What’s truly been on my heart and mind lately is how much I am enjoying my three boys. I have a Senior, Junior and 7th grader this year. I have realized how much I truly enjoy being in their company and seek out their company. I don’t know if that sounds crazy, but to be honest, I have had many ages and stages in my experience as a mom that have not been enjoyable. And by the way, before you come for me, I had a very hard time getting pregnant and went through an incredible amount of fertility treatments to have my kids. I realize they are blessings and I love them very much. There are times where it can be hard and you just wish they were in school or in a camp or somewhere else outside of your house. As they’ve gotten older, I’m able to start to see glimpses of who they are through the craziness of hormones and the teen years.

I want to be with them and when I am with them, we have such great conversations. They make me laugh and they make me proud. I am trying to spend time with each of my boys individually and be fully present when I am with them which means no phones! Time is a thief, but I also don’t subscribe to once they are out of the house, they are gone forever. I plan to spend lots and lots and lots more time with my boys as they get older.

Q: What's a skill or hobby you wish you had?

A: This is incredibly easy for me to answer and has been the same answer for as long as I can remember. I wish I could sing. Like really sing. Like Adele kind of sing. I love music so much and it’s a big part of my life. If I could sing, I would never stop! I love live music and going to concerts. I appreciate artists who have that God-given talent. If I had it, I would 100% be on a stage, traveling in a bus, in a music video, all the things!

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

A: Does time travel count? To be honest, I would not want to travel to the future as I feel like that would give me anxiety, but I would absolutely love to travel into the past. I guess if I’m a superhero, I would want to try to right the wrongs of the past. Then I worry that it would change the future. So gosh, maybe I need to pick another one?

Q: What's the most valuable life lesson you've learned?
