April Catch Up
Our Substack debut, some personal high points and the dresses you all loved...
The biggest thing to hit in April was Substack! We officially dove in and the water feels great. 18 posts floating and dive ins from many new people! A big thank you to everyone splashing around with us. Your support means the world.
Personal life highlights included Gretchen and Allison’s kids going to prom…together! That was an experience that felt very “right of passage”. In case you want to hear about the prom experience, we wrote all about it here. If you’re new, their oldests are Juniors in high school. Allison has girl/boy twins and Gretchen has a son. Laura slipped away for a mid-week getaway with her husband and two other couples to Ojai. Yes, that trip was as dreamy as it sounds. If you missed it, check out our Ojai post here.
April tends to feel like a pace car month, especially with school-aged kids. It registers around a second to third gear and the track is relatively clear. We tried to roll the windows down (it was cool enough to do that), wave and appreciate the smooth ride. May-cray is a fifth gear, accelerator slammed to the floorboard month with in and out maneuvering. Scenes from the window tend to pass by so quickly they’re blurred. We’re buckling our seatbelts, wearing helmets and driving gloves for a better grip are not out of the question.
Here’s what the shoppers loved in April…
We each got a pair of these strappy sandals once the weather turned warm to pair resort dresses for an Evereve campaign. Little did we know we would be wearing them with EVERYTHING from dresses to jeans and being comfortable while doing it! They also take up no room or weight in a suitcase and will be coming on all our summer travels. They run true to size.
Favorite Daughter Belted Khaki Skirt
Allison recently got this skirt with the idea that she would wear it for her daughter’s 8th grade graduation. Funnily enough, she has been wearing it non-stop to everything this spring from graduation parties to church. Allison loves to style it with these flat, strappy sandals and our favorite white tee (that is not see through).
This dress was so beautiful on and can go to many events! The material on top is a thicker, almost a scuba-style material that sucks you in. It runs small, Allison and Gretchen both sized up one.
Blue and White Striped Tank Maxi Look
Another pretty spring/summer dress that is hard not to love! The gold buttons elevate it, it has pockets, a sweetheart neckline and is the perfect blue. GTI Tip: Don’t use the belt it comes with. Cut off the belt loops. It looks better that way! Runs true to size.
This dress reads denim but doesn’t feel like it. It’s more of a soft, sweatshirt material and is SO comfortable. It’s the perfect length for 40+, has pockets and of course we love a collar. Dress runs true to size. Raffia purse linked here and a dupe to purse linked here!
